Open Positions:
Executive Director
Director of Support Services
OVERVIEW FOR BOTH POSITIONS
The vision of Big House Family Ministry is to “re-assign the desolate inheritances” (Isaiah 49:8) of children impacted by early disruptions and trauma, frequently experienced by children in foster care and those who have been adopted. The work relies upon the mobilization of church communities to meet three goals:
1. Prevent children from coming into the foster care system.
2. Intervene when children enter the system.
3. Connect children to families and families to churches.
The BHFM model hinges on developing Family Advocacy Ministries (FAMs) in local churches and for those churches to work together to provide more than enough families, support, training, and material supplies for children in need. The mission of BHFM is to EQUIP CHURCHES TO CARE FOR FOSTER AND ADOPTIVE FAMILIES.
